What to do

  1. Find a big cardboard box and then cut off the top of your box so your toddler can stand up inside it.
  2. Cut out a square hole in the side of the box to make the shop counter and then encourage your little one to decorate their shop using marker pens or paint.

  3. Help them stock their shop with things from your kitchen cupboards. When you're finished, visit the shop and ask to buy different items - you could even make your own fake paper money!
