Bath time is a good time for play, and seeing what objects sink and float in the bath can be a real eye opener for your child. It might make them laugh, too!

What to do

  1. When your child is in the bath, have a look to see what sinks or floats. If it floats, say ‘oh look, it floats!’ and do the same for the objects that sink.
  2. Why not encourage your child to hold and play with the objects, so they can find out for themselves which ones sink or float?
